Things are finally starting to fall into place. I was presently surprised by my midterm grades this morning, seeing as though I feel I have done nothing but endure, as Tim's mom called it, "the senior slump". I'm gonna be honest, I've enjoyed every second of this so called senior slump thus far and I have little conscious about extending my slump into a longer, slump. On top of that I'm scheming a few exciting things in my head that can't be discussed yet and this weekend I'm off to the lake with one of my closest friends and her whole crew! It will be a nice little break from reality and she's the perfect person to spend it with. Zoe and I like to get together and mope about our horrible attitudes towards America.... but neither of us have much to complain about in all honesty. I'm spending spring break between my internship and the store, can't say I'm super excited about it but at least I will be making some money and hopefully spending the last 4 days of it with Timo.
Yesterday I was told a pretty cute joke by one of my second graders,
What do you get when you mix an elephant with a matterbaby?
Then you are supposed to say...
What's a matterbaby?
And an adorable 2nd grader with one front tooth says:
Nothings the matter baby, what's the matter with you baby?
Uhhg the things I hear on a typical day...
Also lately, I can't get enough diet peach snapple... it's not the worst thing I could be hooked on at the moment.
Alrighty, going to wash the modern dance out of my hair.
Until next time.
P.S. I do spend some days driving around, shopping & eating out... but it's not who I am. ; )
Is this sunscreen?

This weekend was pretty celebratory in my family, Hunter was accepted to UNC Charlotte (woop) and Zack got into Virginia Tech's MEDICAL SCHOOL.... celebratory? I'll say. To make the festivities even more festive my cousin and her husband (my cusband) stopped by on their drive up from Florida for a visit bearing grapefruit, lots of grapefruit. It called for the traditional dinner at Elizabeth's and later we were all engulfed by youtube videos.
This is random but just ran across it,
Timo would like us to think that he is not a cat person.... we'll let him think we buy it. ;)
ha!
They both really loved college. haha
The happy boys...

Thanks again missies
I never got the chance to thank my lovely friends for my going away dinner, now that I'm home, THANKS AGAIN! It was so thoughtful of everyone to plan something and spend my last day in town together, pinky's is also a major plus. It's good to be back and to see all of your pretty faces again!

By the end of every serious conversation the point is that everything will be okay, fall into place and make you feel just a little better than you did today.
My plans are a dime a dozen

I have commitment issues..., especially when it comes to this crazy blog. Is it unbelievable that I literally do not have enough time in one week to do anything other than chew all my nails off with worry? No, it's not. Right now I'm attempting, helplessly, to make some sort of plan. Lily Grace and I have been playing real estate agents for a couple of weeks now, with little success, but hope prevails. Speaking of hope Zoe and I have high hopes for something fun to happen to us over spring break.... fun, find us please because we have no time to plan you. Is this my biggest concern? No, but it would be nice.
Last weekend was relaxing... for some reason when Tim comes to visit I am a lot more capable of (not having a meltdown? Well, that too) relaxing and forgetting about the so many things that are going on in my life right now. I impressed him with my cooking. I never thought I would genuinely be able to say that about this picky green eating machine but I found my way into his heart with my...... you'll never believe it.... pizza bread? Huh?
Yup. It just goes to show, less is more. Tim would like to give Lily credit for this, and her culinary vision. (I could probably agree :)) Other than some delicious stromboli and pear/bleu cheese salad we had a rather relaxing weekend. We had the honorable responsibility of Gusser on Saturday night and the surprise of snowfall on Sunday night, which was nice because Tim chose to stay one more night.
I've recently concluded that I am not cut out for a dog, to Tim's dismay... I admitted it. Ollie is just my little man, I know it's silly, but his story is a nice one.
This weekend I'm just working and looking forward to my last week of school before spring break. Tomorrow (after my on call) I will be driving to the G'boro for the night to see my and cousin and her husband on their drive up from Florida. I love how mom and dad's house, even though it's changed 500 and gajillion times, remains the catch all land all for anyone at anytime. It really is a great atmosphere full of comforting people and I'm glad after this stressful week that I get to spend at least one night at home. I feel like I could snap at the end of this week!
As for now I'm going to continue to lay on the couch and watch say yes to the dress (Atlanta), pathetic I know but ever since Gretchen and her sister were on the show, I quite like the concept.
"Southern chic ain't cheap yall"... hysterical.
Until next time, it may be a long time, but take care!

This morning a had a soy latte, okay I have a soy latte almost everyday but this morning I had a soy latte at a new cafe. Which, naturally, is a huge step. I'm stepping out of tradition... Summit Coffee in Davidson, way to far away but not if your already in Huntersville. This is not a picture of my summit latte, but reminded me of this adorable latte art I received at Fortnum & Mason high tea in Piccadilly Circus... yup it was that good.
