I think I've chosen the fabric to upholster my bed with... anyone else love it?

To the next one of you

April 20, 2012

Lately I've had customers rushing into the store, knocking a few items off their wish-list when they really had no time to in the first place and then taking it out on me when they realize they're going to be late for whatever they're supposed to be doing. That "whatever" also, always, is on the complete opposite side of town and it's always my problem. This is starting to become a trend and I am not liking it. If you think you won't have time to squeeze something in before your prior engagement than chances are you won't, and when you're standing in line coming to the realization of this, there is nobody's decision to blame but you're own. We are not the fast food restaurant of retail, and we have no desire to rush our customers out the door, because you are late, and rude, and inconsiderate. Ugghhhh.

Finally got some photos of the Coley Poley Olley...

Don't forget it's Autism awareness month! I think he reminds me everyday.

My Favorites Never Change

The "book shop sessions" with Mumford & Sons, I can't seem to get enough.

Dance of the complicated story teller

April 15, 2012

Last night after work I drove home home. I had previously packed up all my winter belongings and well today was literally my only opportunity to get it all home where it will live all summer in my parents attic. ehhh. I like the change in the seasons, it keeps me going. Today I miss everything about Europe.

Last night I got my Village care member packet in the mail, it got me a little pumped to say the least. I have luggage tags and the whole shabang. My address while in Arusha is PO Box 136 Duluti, Arusha, Tanzania.

... more to come, I'm burning my baking outlet for the day.

Time for an update-

Just working this weekend, home alone again while the room mates are both out of town having adventures of their own.

Got asked to photograph my first wedding ever, will go down in history and make my portfolio uh-mazing. Will also pay for my new camera, which I must replace now.

Finally received the call that an apartment opened up at Birkdale Village for us, now it's decision making time and I just so happen to be writing a paper on decision making for my capstone course, since when did I become the expert on THAT.

Thinking about taking a little day trip Sunday (my only day off) to see my long-lost friends in Raleigh, it has been way to long and I receive mail from them on the reg, it's my turn to make it up!

Fundraising for Africa, status: steadily in progress, much better than I thought it would be right now.

Planning planning planning in my head how my next living quarters will be decorated... I couldn't stop it if I tried to.

I have two more weeks of school left, and next next week Tim comes to town for two whole weeks, two things to look forward to at the moment.

Tomorrow: working till 6, and getting out of this empty apartment!

Easy as Peasy

April 01, 2012

I'm looking forward to an easy week at school and then easter weekend....

I'm currently in love with a good chambray button down shirt.

Moving? Ohhhh maybe.

It feels good to be back at the store, surrounded by all the lovely things & lovely people. It also feels good to pack up all my winter clothes and say GOOD-BYE until next time.

That's about it for now...
