Read me in whatever language you read in

May 19, 2012

I know I have a few friends from "other" places that read my blog, places much cooler than my home town and places where they don't speak english. Even though you're all multilingual freaks of nature, ;) you can now eat your hearts out by reading my blog in German... or Spanish, or Dutch. Hooray for google!

Okay so I know a while back I said I was going to start copying my old "notes" into my blogger so that I could delete them off of facebook and whatever else, I haven't forgotten! But they are going to have their own page... they are vastly different from what I find myself doing in my posts from time to time.

I hope everyone's looking forward to the weekend ahead, my vacation starts Sunday... It's good to feel like summer time is here.

I play this song a lot, but I'm especially impressed by the video quality of this 4AD session. Looking forward to Bon Iver's 4AD session.

Waterscape

I have this new obsession with the Body Shop, I guess it started in England when my skin was cracking with dryness and my savior was their olive body butter. Now the smell brings back all my best memories from Europe and I can't go without it...   I've worked right across the hall from one all these years and I'm finally starting to really take advantage. I gotta get Christina a late Birthday present before our beach trip and I'm guessing it will be from there, gives me an excuse to go sniff everything just one more time.

Tomorrow I'm babysitting little Manning all day, I assume we'll go to the park and maybe get frozen yogurt together. The little man's so easy. I'll also have him all day Friday so I hope he's ready to do some pre-moving errands with me! I'm looking forward to my trip Sunday, I hope I don't get called into work so I can leave extra early and visit even more friends on the way up. Well it's midnight, my hour of maximum production is approaching so I'm going to continue to wrap picture frames and other breakables neatly into their boxes. I'm sure by the end of this week things will just be thrown into boxes but right now, everything can remain organized. Through all these moves I've learned if it's organized going in, it's organized coming out.

Potential color for our new living room at the Village:

Waterscape by Sherwin Williams....

Young and fresh color but still muted, it would help to have seen the actual apartment before moving in, but hey, call us risk takers.

It has to be...

May 16, 2012

It's been such a long while since I've written- no good. I can officially inhale and exhale properly now, I have gone from the busiest I've ever been in my life back down to normalcy. While there are still a lot of things going on, the fact that school is over takes a huge weight off my shoulders. I have pictures from graduation, I will have to post them at a later date when I am not multi tasking, but I promise I will post them. My biggest relief is that dance is over, while I enjoyed every second of it it made my gym membership go to pot and it came along with stress amongst all the other things. Strangely enough now that dance is over I am finally going to purchase a pair of Swedish hasbeens... hopefully I won't have bunhead feet anymore but I will still be working eight hour shifts on my feet, not to mention I've wanted to be a Swedish hasbeen my whole life. ;) I perused the store in Sweden in October but was to discombobulated with their currency SEK that I couldn't focus on the criteria.

I've been working everyday since Graduation but I still feel a million times more free than I did last week. Lily and I are packing up the apartment this week because next Sunday we move to "the Village". We are leaving the city and all our favorite spots for the Vil, but it's okay because I know we will find new spots to become regulars in. I asked off 5 consecutive days, the most I think I've ever asked off, to catch up with the old faces I haven't seen in forever. Sunday I'll be in Raleigh/Durham catching up with Christina & Sarah and then we are off to my home town to visit my grandparents and get some beach time in as well. It's a nice bonus for sure. Today is Wednesday, and I need to have the whole apartment packed up by Sunday before I leave... meh, it'll happen.

Wait, what's over?

My two best friends always pull through for me...

Mom & Dad

Mom & Dad again...

I suppose it was...

Zoe sat through two graduations Saturday, I can't say I would have been able to do that.

The woodstock of graduates couldn't fit in one picture.

Oh keeewwwllll, I waited so many years for streamers!
